YouTube Video Optimization- How To Optimize YouTube Videos For Search Engines

YouTube Video Optimization

YouTube is the world’s second largest search engine, larger than even Bing or Yahoo. It’s by far the world’s largest video search engines.

A well optimized video can easily get you tens of thousands of viewers – Each. A video that goes viral can get hundreds of thousands and even millions of views.

Here’s how to optimize your videos for YouTube.

Step 1: Determine Target Keyword Volume

Much as you would if you were optimizing for search engines, the first step to optimizing for videos is to determine both the keyword volume and the competition for each keyword phrase.

Use the Google Keyword Tool to compile a list of potential keywords. You should target a variety of keywords, some of them high volume and high competition, others lower volume with lower competition.

YouTube Video Optimization

Step 2: Determine Strength of Competition

How strong are competing videos? Do as search for your target keywords and analyze them by:

- Number of views
- Number of comments
- Number of replies
- Number of likes
- Number of video responses
- Percentage of people who liked the video, out of total viewers
- Channel subscribers

To view the number of likes, just open a video. It’ll be right under the view count:

To count the number of comments, click on “View All Comments” at the bottom of the page:

The comment count will be right above the comment box:

Put all this data, along with the total number of views, into an Excel spreadsheet. Do this for at least 20 keywords.

Match up the number of views to the strength of the competition. Look for the weakest competition, as compared to the highest number of monthly searches. Then select the keywords with the best volume-to-competition ratio to optimize for.

Step 3: Write a Keyword Optimized, Attention Catching Headline

The headline has two jobs:

1. To get the video to show up when someone searches. Google uses a relevance check to make sure the videos that show up are relevant to their search.

2. To convince people to actually click on your video once it shows up in a search.

The most important thing in writing the title tag is to make sure your main keyword is in the title.

The second most important thing is to make sure that your title has well written copy that gets people to click.

Step 4: Get as Many Favorites, Likes and Comments as Possible

The number of likes, favorites and comments you have are some of the most heavily weighed factors for search engine rankings. The more likes, favorites and comments you have, the more YouTube is going to think you have a good video.

How can you increase your number of likes, favorites and comments?
One method is to ask people to do so in your video. You can either hard code into your video, or you can do it in annotations.

To do it in annotations, click on “Annotations” when you’re editing a video.

Click the drop down box next to “Add Annotation” to choose what kind of annotation to add.

Finally, craft a mini-sales message to get people to add comment, like or add your video.

Step 5: Ranking for Related and Suggested Videos

Two potentially lucrative sources of traffic to your videos are related videos and suggested videos. What are they?

They’re the videos that show up when someone else finishes watching a similar video, or the videos that appear on the right hand side of any video you’re watching.

How do you get your videos to appear for on related or suggested videos? Especially other high trafficked and relevant videos?

First, work on the credibility of your own video. The more views you have, the more comments you have and the more likes you have, the higher your likelihood of showing up in suggested or related videos at all.

It’s hard to get a new video to show up in suggested or related videos. But after you have a few thousand views, it really makes sense to try to get them to show up.

Start by copying all the keyword tags that other videos in your industry are using. Having closely related (but not identical) keyword lists tells YouTube that your videos are on as similar subject.

Then, try to also duplicate the same keywords they target in their title. Of course your title tag should be completely different, but having the same main keyword can really help you land in suggested or related.

Finally, make sure you pick a good video snapshot for your video. In addition to your title, your snapshot is what others will judge your video based on.

The higher the CTR to your video from a related video, the more YouTube will think your videos are related and the higher your video will show up in the future.

Step 6: Getting Backlinks

Much like getting rankings in the SEO world, getting rankings in videos requires getting backlinks. As a part of SEO video optimization, start working on getting backlinks to your videos- the more backlinks, the higher your video will rank.

How do you get backlinks?

The first and most important thing is to have a truly original and high quality video. If you create a video like that, it’s only natural that other people will want to link to your video as a resource.

In addition however, you can do quite a bit of manual link building.
Use sites like Squidoo and Hubpages to get high quality, relevant backlinks.

Link to the video from your own site(s). Use distributed articles to get a high number of backlinks.

To wrap things up, it’s important to remember that the majority of YouTube users never try to deliberately get their videos to rank. If you’re focusing on video rankings, you’re already in the top 1%.

In time, if you follow the tips outlined in this article, your rankings will very likely beat your competitor’s. Here is another tip, you can implement the above mentioned YouTube video optimization strategies across other video hosting sites as well to get more targeted traffic to your website.

Step-By-Step Guide On How To Do Video Marketing

Introduction – Why YOU Are the Best Person to Create and Star in Your Video

When many internet marketers and bloggers think about creating video content they get some pretty big ideas.

Unfortunately, those big ideas cost a lot of time, energy and money.

And the return on investment can be quite low.

Yet, when you shift your concept of video content to a DIY attitude you reap tremendous business building benefits.

In fact, when you personally star in your video you take great strides toward achieving some significant goals.

These goals can include profits, branding, and increasing your website traffic.

How?

Your personality is key element for branding your business.

Sharing your personality, in the form of video content helps strengthen your brand. It also taps into some effective buying triggers.

1. Likeability

Producing short videos staring you will undoubtedly create fans. You’ll be able to connect with your website visitors on a very personal level.

When people like you, they return to your website. They also buy from you and recommend you to others.

2. Authority & Credibility

Publication is definitely a good way to establish credibility and authority in your niche. Video helps you take it a step beyond basic print content.

With video, you’re personally dispensing the information.

Customers and prospects receive the value right from you personally. They gain more faith in your advice and knowledge.

3. Ease and Simplicity

In addition to helping you grow your business, when you create and star in your video, the video content creation process is much easier.

With a few simple steps you can create a video today. Smart simple editing and you can have it on your website in just a few minutes.

It’s that easy. And it’s also inexpensive.

This workbook walks you through the five steps to create video content for your business website.

Even if you’re camera shy, you’ll have a top notch video ready for uploading when you’ve finished this workbook.

Ready?

Great, let’s go!

Step One: Choose Your Topic

All topics are not created equally. In fact, some topics are quite difficult to manage via video.

However, other topics are ideal for video. The process to choose a perfect video topic is actually simple and straight forward.

1. Make sure it is succinct

The more targeted and specific your topic is, the easier it’ll be to talk about for three to five minutes.

For example, a video on branding your business might be quite difficult.

After all, there are entire books written on branding your business.

However, if you talk about how to brand your business with color, that’s more specific.

An even narrower topic might be, “Three quick tips for branding your business with color.”

2. Make sure it offers value

Your video, like any website content, needs to offer value.

Generally you offer value by providing new information.

However, entertainment can be valuable too.

If you make people laugh or evoke emotion you’re filling a need.

The value you offer depends largely on your business niche.

A parenting website might create a “how to” video for managing bedtime routines for toddlers.

This would be incredibly valuable for any parents who are dealing with a toddler’s growing independence.

The video could be entertaining as well because you could share your own experiences on getting your own kids to bed.

How to videos are often the easiest way to offer value. However, tips videos, reviews, interviews, and demonstrations are also quite helpful.

3. Make sure there’s demand for your topic

Finally, when you’re looking for a great topic, consider reviewing keywords and trends.

What is in demand?

What are your prospects and visitors dying to know?

You can also take a look at the headlines and grab a topic that’s newsworthy.

Your First Action Step

This is a workbook which means it’s time for you to do a little work.

Grab a sheet of paper or open a new document on your computer.

Write down ten to twenty topic ideas.

As you’re writing them, jot down notes about what you’d talk about in your video.

For example, if you were going to create a video about “Three tips for branding your business with color” you might discuss how colors trigger emotions.

Red symbolizes power; green symbolizes nature and so on.

Making note of your thoughts on each potential video topic will help you prepare for a future step.

Step Two: Gather Your Equipment

The good news about creating your own video content is that you don’t need much to get started.

In fact you can create great video content with three key items:

Video Camera

You can spend thousands on an expensive video camera. However, you can find similar success with a Flip camera.

You can find this camera on Amazon.com for as little as a $100, and it takes great video. It is also super easy to use.

Simply choose how close you want the camera to zoom in and then hit record.

Once you’ve recorded your video you plug the flip into your computer via a USB port.

Upload the video to the Flip editor.

Cut your movie and upload it on your website.

It’s that easy. You can create a video in just a few minutes.

You don’t have to use a Flip, of course. You can use your video camera on your computer or any digital video camera.

If you already own a digital video recorder, record a few short videos to make sure the quality matches your needs.

Also, make sure it’s easy to edit and upload your video. If so, then you’re all set.

In fact, if your cell phone has a good video recorder that may be enough.

However, if you can spare a $100, the Flip makes creating video content a quick and easy task.

Tripod – A tripod makes getting the perfect shot really easy.

Even better, it keeps the camera still so you don’t have to worry about shaky hands. You can get small tripods with adjustable legs for just a few dollars.

They make them specifically for the Flip.

You can find them on the Flip website or any major retailer like Amazon. (You can also purchase wide angle lenses for the Flip if you want a wider shot.)

You can also set your Flip on a stack of books or a box, and it works just as well J

Lighting – The best type of lighting is natural lighting. This means recording your video in a room with a window.

Pull the curtains open and position yourself so the sunlight is shining on you from the front or the side of your body.

If this isn’t possible then consider purchasing natural spectrum bulbs.

Make sure the bulbs are the right size and wattage for the lamps in the room where you’re recording your video.

Again, position yourself so the light is shining on you rather than behind you.

Take a few test shots to get the best camera position.

Make sure you’re not in a shadow and that the camera angle best frames you and your surroundings.

Your Second Action Step – Gather your equipment. If you have a video camera already, give it a few test runs.

Make sure it’s easy to use. Set it up in the room where you’ll be filming your videos.

Test various lighting situations to find the best placement for your camera.

Once you’ve gathered your video equipment and you’ve found the best placement for you and your camera, it’s time to decide what you’re going to say.

Step Three: Create Your Content Format

You might be surprised but it’s recommended that you do not write a script. To connect with your viewers, your video needs to feel natural.

If you’re reading from a script, that’s going to be difficult. It may end up feeling forced and awkward.

Not a great way to build a connection.

So how do you stay on track?

How do you know what to talk about?

How do you not freeze up in front of the camera?

Note Cards – Grab a note card or a piece of paper and write down the main points you want to cover in your video.

You may have already done this when you were jotting down your thoughts on your video topic ideas.

Include any personal stories you want to share. Keep it simple. Outline the basic topics you want to cover. You might use a bulleted format.

For example, “Three tips for using color to brand your business.”

Colors evoke emotions

Red symbolizes power and energy. It grabs attention.Blue symbolizes professionalism and trustworthiness.Green symbolizes nature.Example – coke is red. IBM is blue.

Practice – Take a few minutes to run through what you want to say. Rehearse your content a few times aloud.

Consider keeping a timer beside you so you know how long you’re video is going to be.

Generally, you want to keep your video short – ten minutes or less. There are some videos that last thirty minutes or more.

Most often, that is just too long. Keep your viewers attention span in mind.

Your topic will also dictate the length of your video. Some topics simply require more time.

Regardless of the length of your video, it is important to make sure your video holds your viewer’s attention.

Keep it interesting and make sure you stay focused on providing valuable information.

You can practice in front of the camera.

However, it’s generally a better idea just to practice what you want to say without worrying about the camera.

If you practice with the camera running, don’t get too hung up on how you look or sound.

As long as your viewers can clearly see and hear you, you’re good to go. If you’re not used to seeing yourself on camera it can be a strange experience.

Don’t worry.

You’ll get used to it.

Eventually, it’ll become second nature.

If you find you’re having trouble remembering what you want to say then create a visual aid.

Consider writing your key points in large print on a note card.

Don’t get too detailed with the cards. The bulleted list is ideal.

Remember, this isn’t a script.

It’s simply a memory aid.

Position the card above or beside the camera.

Then you can glance at the note card when you need help.

Your Next Action Step – Create your content outline. What are you going to talk about? Practice it a few times. Now you’re ready to shoot!

Step Four: Choose Your Location

The next step is fairly straight forward. Where does it make the most sense to shoot your video? Here are a few things to consider:

Logic – What location makes the most sense? For example, if you’re filming a cooking demonstration then you’re logically going to be in your kitchen.

If you’re shooting a “how to garden” video then you’ll be outside in your garden.

Lighting – What location offers the best natural lighting?

Remember, ideally you want the light from the window shining on you, not behind you.

Sound – Where is it going to be quietest?

For example, if you normally work from your kitchen table that might not be the best place to shoot your video.

Unless you want the dog, the phone and the sound of kids playing to fill in the background noise!

Comfort level – Where are you going to be the most comfortable filming your video?

For example, would you rather sit at your desk or on the couch in your office?

Camera Position – Where can you place your camera for the best shot?

If you’re in a home office, can you place the camera on your desk? If you’re in the kitchen, does the counter top work?

Keeping these five considerations in mind, spend some time finding the ideal location for your video.

If you can’t find a location to fit all five criteria, prioritize lighting, sound and logic.

Action Step – Take a look at your surroundings and find the best location to shoot your video. You might experiment with a few locations.

Take a few test shots with your camera to make sure the sound, light and camera frame work well for your needs.

Step Five: Relax and Create Your Video

Relaxing may be the most difficult part of creating a video.

It’s tough to act natural if you’re not used to being in front of a camera.

You may find yourself shooting the same video thirty times!

Here’s the key to success: Imagine you’re talking to a friend. Speak slowly and clearly.

Relax and smile.

It’s really that easy.

Once your video has been created, upload it to your computer. Cut it to fit your needs.

For example, you may cut the beginning few seconds when you’re positioning the camera and taking a seat at your desk.

Add music and/or any captions if you want. (This step is easy with the Flip camera’s software).

You’re ready to upload it to your website! Congratulations!

Conclusion

Creating a video staring you is not only one of the best ways to market your business, it’s also quick, easy and extremely affordable.

Remember, with any marketing tactic that testing and tracking will help you maximize your results.

As you become more comfortable in front of the camera, you’ll notice your videos improve. The process will become easier, more enjoyable and more profitable too!

Video Search Engine Optimization-How To Optimize Videos Embedded On Your Site For Search Engines

Video Search Engine Optimization- Introduction
If you’re in the habit of putting embedded videos on your site, how can you help make sure those videos get ranked? What makes a video page rank, while others don’t?
Let’s examine some of the most important rankings factors, along with how you can get your embedded pages to the top of the search engines.
Step 1: Optimize Your Title Tag
Take a look at the keyword data for some of the main keywords in your market. You should try to target some of those keywords, especially on “how to” keywords and the “video” keywords.
For example, if you have a fly fishing website, you might target keywords like:
How to put a fly on a hookFly fishing videoFly on hook videoHow to reel a fly fishing rod
And so on and so forth.
Once you’ve selected your keywords, make sure the keyword is in the title tag of your website. Lead with the keyword, then have the title of the page after it.
Make sure your title tag is less than 66 characters. Why? Because after 66 characters, your title tag is cut off in the Google search results. The rest of the title will be replaced with “…”
Step 2: Optimize Your Meta Description Tag
Your description tag is what search engines will use to describe your website, directly below the title tag in the results.

To change your description tag, add or edit the meta description tag in your HTML tags.
Step 3: Get Your Video Transcribed
As amazing as Google’s technology is, they still can’t “listen” to a video and understand what’s being said. Therefore, anytime you just have a video embedded on a page, Google won’t know whether you have a content-rich page or not.
You could either write a complete article to go along with the video, or you can just get the video transcribed. Just go on oDesk or eLance to create a job posting or to find a transcriber.
Many transcribers in India or the Philippines can be hired for as little as $5 an hour. It takes about 4x as long to transcribe as the video length, so a 5 minute video will take about 20 minutes to transcribe.
Here’s an oDesk screenshot, search results for “Transcriber”:

Step 4: Get Increased Distribution
To get more traffic to your main videos on your site, it often helps to distribute a few peripheral videos to other video sites like MetaCafe or Vimeo.
There are literally dozens of such sites, and while none of them have the kind of traffic that YouTube does, combined they’re a formidable source of traffic.
Instead of distributing the videos by hand, the work will be much faster and less tedious if you used a service like TubeMogul (free) or TrafficGeyser (paid) to distribute your videos.
Step 5: Embedding Mini-Videos to Increase Page Views
One powerful way to get more views to your video is to place a small video on every page in your website. Every time the video is loaded, whether it’s played or not, will count as a view on the video.
Let’s say you run a career-related website. In the sidebar of your website, you embed a small 100 x 75 pixel video. The user can click play to watch the video if they want, but the majority won’t.
Even if they never click play, the mere act of loading your video (because it’s on your sidebar) will increase the view count by one. Every time someone visits a page on your site, it’ll load the video count by one again.
This way, your video count will go way up utilizing traffic you already have.
Step 6: Offer a “Put This on Your Site” Code
One of the factors that YouTube looks at when deciding how your video ranks is how many other people embedded your video.
If many people are taking your video and putting it on their sites, YouTube’s going to assume that the video should be ranked higher.
You can make getting embeds easier by offering the embed code on your site.
Simply put the embed code below your video, with the heading “Put this video on your site!”

If you want, you can even hide the code so people need to click a button for the code to show.
Step 7: Getting Backlinks
Backlinks play a very large role in getting pages to rank. Some would even say it’s the most important factor of all.
Deep linking, or the strategy of linking to specific pages rather than the home page, is often more effective than concentrating all your links in one place. If you have many videos, try to build a number of backlinks to each of them.
Here are a few potential sources of backlinks:
ForumsBlogsWeb 2.0 PropertiesArticle DirectoriesGuest WritingPress ReleasesResource sections on other people’s sites
The most effective backlinking strategy in the long run is to simply put out top notch content. Other people with websites on your topic will then link to your videos as valuable resources.
Optimizing your embedded video page isn’t that different than optimizing a web page for search engines. Follow good SEO practices in your title tags and backlinking strategy. Make sure you always have text content as well as video content.
Distribute your videos using a distribution service to get more exposure, and try embedding your videos in main pages to get more view counts and higher rankings.
Finally, offer the embed code to visitors to help spread your videos through the web.

How to Auto-Forward Gmail Messages in Bulk [Video]

gmailGmail offers an easy mail forwarding option that lets you auto-forward incoming messages to another email address. You define a rule (or filter) and any incoming mail that matches the filter is automatically forwarded to another address.

There are however some limitations in Gmail’s auto-forwarding feature:

1. You cannot auto-forward old emails. For instance, if you have a bunch of old emails that you would like to send to your EverNote or Instapaper account for archiving, you’ll have to manually forward them one-by-one as auto-forward only works for new incoming emails.

2. You cannot auto-forward to a non-verified email address. When you set up auto-forward in Gmail, it sends a verification message to the other email address before you can forward messages to that account.

If you would like to auto-forward Gmail messages (including the older emails) to another email address in bulk, or if you would like to forward them to another address without confirming, Google Docs can help you overcome those limitations very easily.

The trick is simple. You set up a trigger in Google Docs that watches some of the labels in your Gmail Inbox and as soon as it finds a message, it auto-forwards it to a designated email address. You just have to set it once and it then runs in the background without requiring any manual input.

Gmail Auto Forward

Create a copy of this Google Sheet in your Google Docs account and fill the columns A and B. You should put valid Gmail Label Names in column A and the corresponding auto-forward email address in column B.

Go to Tools –> Script Editor –> Triggers –> Current Script’s Trigger and Add a new Trigger. Set the Event as Time-Driven and choose either Minutes or Hours for the duration. If you want near-instant mail forwarding, set the timer to Every Minute.

Since you are running this Google Docs sheet for the first time, you’ll have to authorize it to access your Gmail account. Just follow the authorization prompts to grant Google Docs access to your Gmail.

That’s it. You can close your Google Docs sheet and it will magically forward your Gmail messages that are in particular labels. Once the message has been forwarded, the label will be removed automatically.

To quickly summarize, you set up one or more “watch” labels in Gmail and any emails that you add to these labels are automatically forward to the corresponding email addresses as you have specified in the Google Docs sheet.

This Google Docs based auto-forwarding method will work for both plain text emails as well as HTML mails that have attachments but there’s one limitation – the size of individual email messages that you are auto-forwarding should not exceed 20 KB. This is a requirement of the Google Apps Script service.

Also, mails forwarded through Google Docs will still count towards your Gmail’s daily sending limit which is around 500 messages per day.

23 Tips for Creating Integrity Driven Video

1. Be natural, smile and relax.

2. Don’t try to be something you’re not, it will come across as fake or forced.  I.E. if you’re not naturally bubbly, don’t try to be.

If you are, don’t try to be super straight.

3. Be honest and let the real you come through.

4. Start with a script – but don’t read it word-for-word

5. Use a whiteboard behind the camera/computer to tack your notes/bullet points to cover so your face is looking up at all times and you aren’t shuffling pages throughout your video.

6. Try to keep one objective per video so you don’t go off-topic on a tangent

7. Videos should be primarily related to your business/brand/skills/expertise

8. Front lighting is good, but be cautious of how bright (or close) it is to you as it may wash out your face or cause you to squint.

9. Don’t use direct overhead lighting as it can cast shadows below your eye brow, creating a raccoon look

10. Natural light is good but run a test video first if shooting directly against a window as the camera may adjust to the outside light and/or pick up a reflection.

Plus, you don’t want to pick up your neighbor wearing a speedo. ;)

11. Shoot from the chest up and try to frame your face so it looks natural.

Head closer to the top of the frame and zoom in, not too close but so you take up most of the space.

12. Use a tripod for steady videos.

13. If possible, use a separate microphone. Built-in microphones tend to be cheap and may not create good quality recordings.

14. Start the recording, then wait 5 seconds before you start talking, then leave the same amount of time after you end your discussion before turning off the recording.

This allows for easy editing.

15. Keep the content simple and easy to follow.

16. Consider background/outside noise when determining when to record.

If you live by a major highway, rush hour may not be the best time to record.

Other considerations might be neighborhood kids playing after school, lawns being mowed at mid-day, the postman delivering mail and the neighbor’s dog goes crazy, etc.

17. Sit still during recording – don’t move your head a lot, talk with your hands, etc. If you’re a naturally overly animated person, you may need to tone it down.

18. Keep your ‘background environment’ natural to your business tone. i.e. if you have a casual business tone, your video background (shown behind you in the video) should be neat and tidy but casual – not full of band instruments (unless your business is music related).

Same goes for ugly backgrounds; loud colors and distracting items will pull the attention from you and to the background.

19. Your clothing… again, consider your business tone.

You don’t want to be ultra-business like online yet recording videos in your jammies.

Nor do you want to be wearing eye-popping colors or patterns that might distract your viewers’ attention.

20. Always end your call with a call to action; join something, buy something, call a number, etc.

21. If you wear glasses, consider removing them or have a reflection coating added to cut the glare.

22. When speaking, keep a steady flow that’s not too fast or too slow so viewers can easily keep up.

23. Check yourself in the mirror before you begin. You do not want to have something unsightly on your face all through your video.

Instantly Turn Video Clips Into Movies With V.I.K.T.O.R

The Spark of Genius Series highlights a unique feature of startups and is made possible by Microsoft BizSpark. If you would like to have your startup considered for inclusion, please see the details here.

Name: V.I.K.T.O.R.

Quick Pitch: V.I.K.T.O.R. is an automatic video-editing app.

Genius Idea: The free iPhone app makes movie making and sharing mobile clips quick and easy.

Built-in cameras on smartphone and tablet devices make it easy to record videos of experiences anywhere we go. But how often do we go back to watch these videos or share them?

V.I.K.T.O.R., an automatic video-editing app, provides a simple and convenient way to cut and edit video clips and turn them into short movies. The app allows users to make short movies — either 20 seconds, one minute or two minutes long — that actually look professionally edited. For now, it’s free to create a movie, but in the future, the company plans to charge $0.99 for 1-minute movies and $1.99 for two-minute movies.

“We all have special moments that we want to remember,” Evgenia Bogdanovich, co-founder of V.I.K.T.O.R., told Mashable. “This video editing app offers a way to recollect your memories and turn them into a video presentation that feels emotional and looks professional.”

Developed in June, the idea of V.I.K.T.O.R. was inspired while two of the four co-founders of the app were traveling in Hong Kong. Sergey Nurmamed and Alexander Didenko saw tourists taking pictures and recording videos with their phones, and wondered how often people actually go back and look at these memories. When Nurmamed and Didenko returned to Russia, the V.I.K.T.O.R. team decided to create an automatic-editing app to make it easier for people to create movies from their experiences and share them with friends and family.

To start making mini-movies, download the app onto an iPhone and choose one of the following video-editing options:

Automatic: The app randomly chooses video footage from your phone. Semiautomatic: Users manually select videos. Controlled: Gives users more control by allowing them to sort their videos by different sections and shots

After you select an option, users can also add in their own themes and soundtracks. Browse the list of categories (travels, sports, family, events, lifestyle or moods) and select a theme that suits your movie. Then create a movie title and select the mobile clips that you want to include.

Select an unlimited number of video clips to include in your movie.

Finally, click the “Magic Up!” button to see your own personal edited movie and instantly share it on Facebook, YouTube or via email.

Hit the “Magic Up!” button to see your personal mini movie.

“V.I.K.T.O.R. is a new way of communication because it makes it easier to have a presentation of your experiences to share with your friends and relatives,” says Bogdanovich. “Sharing your own movie is much more emotional than sharing a photo.”

Unlike video sharing site TwitVid, V.I.K.T.O.R. automatically edits your videos, does not allow you to include your own songs in the soundtrack and does not have an option to directly share your videos to Twitter.

V.I.K.T.O.R. currently has over 400 users and will soon be available for Android devices.

The Spark of Genius Series highlights a unique feature of startups and is made possible by Microsoft BizSpark, a startup program that gives you three-year access to the latest Microsoft development tools, as well as connecting you to a nationwide network of investors and incubators. Google Activates 3.7 Million Android Devices on Christmas Weekend [VIDEO]

As previously noted, this Christmas was a big one for the smartphone category.

While Flurry Analytics found that 6.8 million Android and iOS devices were activated on Christmas Day, though, the company declined to outline how much share each platform got. But now Google svp Andy Rubin has shed a little bit more light on the issue. Rubin on Wednesday tweeted that 3.7 million Android devices were activated on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.

That’s a big jump over the 700,000 activations per day for Android that he had previously announced.

Amazon Wins, Netflix Loses in Holiday Satisfaction Study [VIDEO]

Internet shoppers were happy with Amazon and disappointed in Netflix this holiday season, according to a study released Wednesday.

In an annual index of ecommerce sites’ customer satisfaction by analytics firm ForeSee, Amazon’s performance improved while Netflix’s plunged after the two companies spent several years dueling for the study’s top spot. Amazon’s overall score rose two points to register 88 out of 100 possible points for the index’s best mark.

But Netflix, following a year marred by a series of service and public relations missteps, saw its total fall seven points for an overall rank of 79. The 8% decline in score was the steepest of all the companies included in the study.

The survey considers a range of factors to rank online retailers, including website content, functionality, merchandise and prices. ForeSee considers a score of 80 to be “the standard for excellence.”

Netflix appears to be experiencing continued blowback from a fiasco-plagued 2011. In July, the company unexpectedly raised its prices for both streaming and DVD delivery by 60%. Then in August, it attempted to create a spinoff company that would have required customers to create two separate accounts for what was previously one service.

Netflix then scrapped that plan in October, but its stock price had already lost half its value the month before. ForeSee says its holiday satisfaction survey is the first methodical assessment of customer satisfaction with Netflix since company’s blunders earlier this year.

“Customer satisfaction is predictive, which means that Netflix’s financial woes may be just beginning,” ForeSee president Larry Freed said in a statement accompanying the study’s release.

Amazon, meanwhile, continues its dominance of the online retail space in multiple sectors and rebranded its streaming video service earlier this year to better compete with Netflix. Amazon has also received a boost from its line of popular Kindle products, which have sold at an astounding rate recently.

While Amazon enjoyed a glowing review according to the holiday shopping study, other companies made even more impressive jumps in online customer satisfaction. Electronics retailer TigerDirect.com made the largest jump, with an 8 percent increase in customer satisfaction for an overall score of 79. JC Penney, which named former Apple executive Ron Johnson as CEO earlier this year, improved by 6% for an overall score of 83.

Gap.com and Overstock.com posted the steepest declines after Netflix, falling six and five percent, respectively. Gap.com registered an overall score of 73, while Overstock.coms’ score was 72.

General online shopper satisfaction has increased from 74 when the holiday satisfaction study began in 2005 to an all-time high of 79 this year.

Where do Netflix and Amazon stand in your opinion? What e-retailers were you impressed or let down by this holiday season?

iPhone 5 Rumors Start Heating Up [VIDEO]

The second round of iPhone 5 rumors has officially begun, speculating a redesigned front rim in rubber or plastic, possibly to connect the face to a new aluminum back plate or to cover a new antenna system.

BGR says a source close to the company claims the iPhone will launch next fall, around the time the iPhone 4S launched this year. Pop Herald is predicting a 4-inch screen, which would require app developers to overhaul their products to avoid poor resolution.

But as we all know, iPhone rumors will come in all shapes and flavors before the upcoming launch. What do you think about this set?

Cricket Video - Record-Breaking Weekend In Cricket - Cricket World TV

A cricket video for Cricket World  TV about the latest cricket news looking at four batsmen - Manoj Tiwary, Kieron Pollard, David Warner and Asad Shafiq all scoring their maiden international centuries over the weekend.

It also rounds up the action from three series, which saw India beat the West Indies 4-1 in a series of ODIs, Pakistan comfortably beat Bangladesh in the opening Test in Chittagong and Australia and New Zealand tie their Test series as New Zealand won in Hobart by just seven runs.

Warner and Pollard in particular provoked most reaction for scoring their centuries after they made their names in Twenty20 cricket and many doubted whether either would have the temperament to score centuries in longer forms of the game. Warner's 123 saw him carry his bat as Australia were narrowly defeated while there were plenty of Pollard sixes - ten of them in fact - to cheer before the West Indies fell 34 runs short.

Tiwary and Shafiq are young players in whom plenty of hope and expectation has already been placed by fans in India and Pakistan and they returned some of that investment with attractive innings which unlike those fine efforts of Warner and Pollard, proved to be match-winning knocks. Tiwary's innings came in the shadow of Virender Sehwag hitting 219 in the fourth match but with Sehwag rested, none little attention was diverted.

Shafiq has been dubbed 'Mr Solid' by some and has effectively replaced no mean cricketer Mohammad Yousuf in Pakistan's middle order.

Cricket Video - Afridi Inspires Pakistan To Victory - Cricket World TV

A cricket video for Cricket World  TV about the latest cricket news looking at Pakistan thrashing Bangladesh by five wickets in the opening ODI in Dhaka thanks to a memorable all-round performance from Shahid Afridi

Afridi hit an unbeaten 24 to follow up a haul of five for 23 as Bangladesh were bowled out for 91 and Pakistan were made to work hard before reaching a relatively comfortable 93 for five.

During the course of the game, Afridi became the second man (after Sanath Jayasuriya) to score 6000 ODI runs and take 300 wickets. Afridi has had an extraordinary career in the game, scoring a century in 37 balls, retiring more than once, hitting hundreds of sixes and representing a number of teams around the world including Hampshire and the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League.

He captained his country to the 2011 World Cup semi-final before withdrawing from international cricket following Pakistan's tour of the West Indies. His latest return has been triumphant, playing a leading role in series successes in the UAE against Sri Lanka and now starting well against Bangladesh.
