Four Home-Based Businesses in Need

Four Home-Based Businesses in Need

The small-business bazaar has traditionally been populated by corner provisions and family-owned small businesses. For women with an entrepreneurial streak, small-business possibilities have always been abundant. It's turning ideas into profitable enterprises that takes dedication and hard work. From stylists and bakers to bookkeepers and designers, ladies have played an important role in the tiny-business market.

Today, women continue to pressure their communities and also the business world as a whole by launching triumphant, home-based companies. The economic downturn continues to be a catalyst for home-business growth. Take Indianapolis-based writer Emily Suess, for example. "In my case, my home writing business began because I simply needed the cash to make ends meet," she says. "In tough economic times, people become increasingly ingenious about how they market their talents and skills."

Home-based businesses are proving again that necessity really does bring about innovation. For a couple of reasons, home-based opportunities became accepted as a result of the recession. First, technology makes communication effortless and affordable for entrepreneurs. In addition, numerous large businesses have downsized -- resulting in a growing number of contracting opportunities for professionals.

Freelance writers aren't the only people succeeding in home-based market. A variety of companies are able to thrive in today's economy.

Listed here are some home-based opportunities that look good for 2011.

Catering services
Catering services are perfect for home-based marketplace. In fact, when will those hard-working entrepreneurs find time to organize meals for themselves and their families? Food preparation and delivery are hot currently, and they can bring in extra cash or sustain a household. From family mealtime to Thanksgiving meals and parties, the interest in catering remains high. Home-based catering and bakery small businesses are anticipated to accomplish well in 2011 because these services will always be in demand. People get married and throw parties in every economy, although they might reduce on the associated fee during a downturn.

Event planning
Weddings, birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, anniversaries, corporate holiday events -- all of these items require a great deal of effort to coordinate. Event consultants can save your day, and earn an honest living. If you're organized and know how to throw a good party, you can launch an event-planning business from the comfort of your own personal home with out a lot of start up capital. Event planners will be in demand in 2011 for the same reason as catering services. In reality, networking among caterers and event planners may be good for both businesses.

Virtual assistant
Having a growing number of internet sites dedicated to helping self-governing experts connect with virtual assistants, you actually don't need much more than a reliable internet connection and a property computer to start functioning from home. Virtual assistants often work on a part-time basis for several business professionals, helping them with everything from travel arrangements to bookkeeping. These types of home-business opportunities are ideal for moonlighters looking for extra cash to help pay the bills. As the number of virtual offices increases in 2011, so will the need for qualified virtual assistants.

Online retailers
From pet garments to handcrafted costume jewelry and only one of its kind paintings, it is possible to sell just about anything online. Small, home-based merchandisers can operate successfully thanks to sites such as Amazon, Etsy and Ebay. At a time where the missteps of huge companies have left the public mistrusting big names, home-based artisans might take advantage. Retail merchandise is another safe bet for 2011. Individuals who have the desire to make their bucks go further, in particular, are looking for unique, handcrafted items that continue to be reasonably priced. And green items are also gaining in popularity - from organic skincare to organic kids’ clothing.

Obviously, the possibilities for home-business opportunities are practically boundless, and the home-based market is expected to continue rising since the economy takes its time recovering. The unemployed and underemployed -- individuals who might never have considered themselves as entrepreneurs -- are expected to join the ranks of work-at-home professionals.

Make Money using a Website - FindItQuick.info Review

Make Money using a Website - FindItQuick.info Review
Google Adsense still remains the perfect monetization system for blogs but such ad networks as Infolinks and its alternatives are attempting to catch up with Google advertising giant and provide a simple method to earn cash online for each blogger or publisher.

Recently I started to notice plenty of advertising connected with FindItQuick.info. This really is an advertisement network, which offers us a huge variety of advertising options. I cannot tell that FindItQuick.info could be a good alternative to Infolinks or any other advertising network because I haven't yet risked to try it. But I spent a while on research and writing of this review.

Ways to Make Money with a Blog and FindItQuick.info
This Internet advertising network has been online for over eight years now and I believe they need a lot of experience on this field (but I wonder why they are not admired yet).

Currently FindItQuick.info offers these types of blog/website advertising:

- Slider widget ads - advertising option, which promises to have a high CTR and is are able of generating high revenues.

- In-text advertising - in case you are familiar with InfoLinks, then you ought to understand what in-text advertising is (these are the ads, which show up, whenever you hover your mouse pointer over a special text phrase). These ads don’t take plenty of advertising space.

- Widget ads - a brand new type of advertising (a minimum of to me), visit their website to view a demo.

- XML feed ads - monetizing your XML feeds could help you increase your daily blog earnings.

And now some statistic data: FindItQuick.info shares 75% of revenue earned from ads in your website; it is possible to earn additional money by referring your friends to FindItQuick advertising network (5% referral commission); minimum payment amount is 25 dollars and publishers can get paid via PayPal or check.

All in all, FindItQuick.info can make a good advertising platform but I haven't found neither positive nor negative feedback notes. In case you have been working with this website, please leave me a comment.

Praveen Kumar Out Of West Indies And Australia Series

Praveen Kumar Out Of West Indies And Australia SeriesPraveen Kumar's injury woes continue after he was diagnosed with a fractured rib. He will now miss the rest of the West Indies series and the four Tests in Australia

Indian swing bowler Praveen Kumar has been ruled out of the entire One-Day International series against the West Indies and the Test series in Australia.

He was originally sidelined for the first three ODIs against the West Indies with a chest problem but further scans have diagnosed a fractured rib.

He has been given a recovery period of five to six weeks, immediately ruling him out of India's next two international engagements.

A replacement player for the tour of Australia will be named on 5th December and he will be targeting the Commonwealth Bank Series, where India play Australia and Sri Lanka following the four-match Test series in Australia, for his comeback.

Abhimanyu Mithun was named as his replacement for the first three ODIs against the West Indies and the selectors will meet in Ahmedabad on 5th December to also name their squad for the final two ODIs.

India lead the series 1-0 after a thriling one-wicket victory in the opening match in Cuttack.

Taylor Finally Joins Nottinghamshire

James Taylor has officially joined Nottinghamshire on a three-year contract as county cricket’s worst kept secret was finally confirmed this afternoon.

It had been known for some time that the 21-year-old had wanted to leave struggling Leicestershire in order to further his international ambitions, and he had already been the subject of an audacious approach from Warwickshire in the middle of last season that was rebuffed by the Foxes.

However, as the close season wore on it became increasingly likely that Taylor would be released from the final year of his contract at Leicestershire as he made it clear that his future lay away from Grace Road, and the only sticking point was the amount of compensation that Nottinghamshire would pay Leicestershire in order to secure his release.

The amount agreed has not been disclosed but it is thought to be around £40,000 – considerably less than the £100,000 Warwickshire had originally offered last summer – due to the fact that the Bears could no longer afford to pay his salary after being awarded less international cricket than they had originally hoped and therefore having to withdraw their offer and decrease the competition.

Throughout the whole saga, Leicestershire have made clear that they would like to have kept their man; a fact that was reflected in the statement released by the club.

Chief executive Mike Siddall said, “This is a disappointing day for the club. We offered James a two-year extension to his existing deal which he rejected. Although he was contracted to the county for the 2012 season he expressed a wish to leave and we allowed him to further his ambitions by talking to other counties. James has chosen to join Nottinghamshire and a compensation deal has been agreed. Everybody at Leicestershire wishes James well for the future.”

Head coach Phil Whitticase added, “Whilst we are disappointed with the outcome, we thank James for the contribution he has made to Leicestershire since he joined the club’s Development Pathway in 2002. James is another graduate of the successful Grace Road development system having played for England U19s, captained England Lions and represented England at ODI level whilst with Leicestershire. It is our aim to continue to produce players of James’ calibre in the future.”

As for his new employers, Nottinghamshire chief executive Derek Brewer said, “I am delighted that James has decided to sign for Nottinghamshire and I would like to thank Leicestershire for conducting the negotiations in a professional and amicable manner.”

Taylor himself, who is currently in India with the England development squad, paid tribute to his former employers, saying, "I will always be grateful to Leicestershire for the part they have played in my development but it is time to move on and I am looking forward to the new season."

Kumar Ruled Out Of First Three West Indies ODIs

Kumar Ruled Out Of First Three West Indies ODIsPraveen Kumar has been ruled out of the first three matches of the series

Indian swing bowler Praveen Kumar has been ruled of the first three One-Day Internationals against the West Indies in Cuttack, Visakhapatnam and Ahmedabad with a chest injury.

Kumar had returned to the squad having missed the Test series, which India won 2-0, but he now has been replaced by Abhimanyu Mithun.

"Praveen Kumar has a niggle so he is not available for the first ODI," Virender Sehwag, who is captaining the side in the absence of the rested Mahendra Singh Dhoni, said.

"We expect him to join the squad tomorrow and be fit for the second match."

However, despite Sehwag's optimistic outlook, the Indian board (BCCI) has confirmed that he would not be fit until the fourth match in Indore on 8th December.

Mithun has played two ODIs in his career to date, making his debut in 2010 against South Africa and then playing against New Zealand later that year. He has also played in four Tests.

The five-match series is India's final assignment before they depart for Australia or a much-anticipated tour in which they play four Tests, two Twenty20 Internationals followed by an ODI tri-series also including Sri Lanka in December, January and February.

Kumar was named in India's Test squad for the tour having not played a Test since performing well in the West Indies and England.

He has, however, been struggling with an elbow injury that kept him out of India's victorious 2011 World Cup campaign.

Sri Lanka Lose Lakmal To Ankle Injury

Sri Lanka Lose Lakmal To Ankle InjurySuranga Lakmal has become the latest Sri Lankan to succumb to injury ahead of the tour to South Africa

An ankle injury has ruled Sri Lankan pace bowler Suranga Lakmal out of the Test series in South Africa in another blow to the injury-ravaged tourists.

He joins Dammika Prasad, Nuwan Kulasekara, Shaminda Eranga and Prasanna Jayawardene on an injury list that is hampering Sri Lanka as they search for a first Test win since the retirement of Muttiah Muralitharan.

After adding experienced batsman Thilan Samaraweera to the squad as cover for Mahela Jayawardene, the selectors have decided against naming a replacement player for Lakmal, meaning the touring party drops back to 16 players.

Chanaka Welagedara, Dilhara Fernando and Nuwan Pradeep are the three remaining specialist fast bowlers in the squad while all-rounder Tissera Perera also travels.

Lakmal has played ten Tests since making his debut against the West Indies in 2010, taking 18 wickets at 54.66 while he also featured in 12 One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 Internationals.

Sri Lanka play three Tests and five ODIs in South Africa.

Sri Lanka Test squad: Tillakaratne Dilshan (captain), Angelo Mathews (vice-captain), Tharanga Paranavitana, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kaushal Silva, Chanaka Welagedara, Dilhara Fernando, Nuwan Pradeep, Tissera Perera, Ajantha Mendis, Rangana Herath
